Everyday Grant brings a different stuffed animal to school with him for nap time. This day he decided to bring Pirates if the Caribbean Mickey with us. The entire ride he was hitting my seat with it, and throwing it on the ground...all because it had a sword I guess. After several times of asking him not to hit my seat with it and to stop throwing it on the ground (because I had to reach back and pick it up every time), I had finally had enough. Mickey was on the ground and I was not picking him up for the hundredth time, and after several "pretty pleases", Grant decided he would unbuckle and get it himself....did I mention we are on the freeway. Anyway, I wanted to stop him from unbuckling so I screamed....
"Grant Michael Dente, if you do not stop right now I am going to throw Mickey out the car window right now"...not the best option I know, but it just came out!
Grant, in his most stern mom voice: "Momma, you cannot throw Mickey out the window on the freeway because he will crash and break up into pieces, and I will be sad, and I will throw a fit!"
Me: "Well, you better not touch that buckle, and you better sit in your seat the right way!"
Grant: "Momma...WE...DO...NOT....THROW...MICKEYS....ON....THE....FREEWAY...OK!"
He sat quietly the rest of the way to school.
Ahhh.....the mind of a three year old!
