Dinner Club

To round off this fun weekend we went to our good friends, The Wright's, for our monthly dinner club dinner. As part of a fun idea a group of us from St. C get together for dinner each month at a different house. It has become such a wonderful event and something we all look forward to each month. We added the Gentry Family this month, and it was just a truly fantastic evening and we all got to sit outside and enjoy the great spring evening. In all there are six families, with about 12 kids...not as crazy as you would think though!

What the girls do.

What the boys do....snakes!!! There is a giant field behind their house and they found at least 50 snakes. We were calling Jaxson the snake whisperer by the end of the evening.

Winefest

Later on Saturday night I got to enjoy Winefest...much more adult friendly and as you can tell it involved wine. One of the parents at St. C hosted this fun event and I am sure I will be participating for many more years. Basicall,y you get to blind taste seven different wines and try to guess what they are. All along you are treated to wonderful food from DeCarlis (which happen to be parents at our school.) It was a wonderful evening and I certainly enjoyed visiting with my friends, enjoying the beautiful evening, all while doing two of my fav things...drinking wine and eating!!

Opening Day Ceremony

Sun Creek Little League has officially become Westview Little League...earth shattering news in your world I am sure. Anywa,y they had their first official opening day ceremony on Saturday and all the kids got to parade onto the football field. It just so happened to be the hottest day of the year, 80, but it felt more like a 100 sitting on the metal bleachers at Westview HS. I am not complaining one bit, I actually got sweaty for the first time doing nothing in 2012...woo hoo!

Grant and Ava supporting their Bubbas as usual!

The Storm

Game Time

On Friday some of my girlfriends and I took our kids to Game Time in Lake Oswego. It is kinda like Big Al's, but on a much smaller scale. It was nice because there were not a million kids screaming, but I don't think I would ever make the trip out there again just to go there. It was wonderful to catch up with some friends while the kids got to run and play though so I am not complaining one bit!

Easter 2012

Wish I could say this was a relaxing weekend full of fun and rest, but all I can say is that I am happy to be back at work! Don't get me wrong, we had an amazing weekend and got to do a ton of fun things, I am just exhausted today and am really glad to be at work today (it's quiet here)!
This was a special Easter because we got to celebrate our first holiday at my parent's new house. This was the first time all three of us girls plus kiddos have been there together too. My dad, no shock I am sure, went out and bought each of the kids motorized vehicles to ride around on in their driveway. I don't think he got the memo that is was Easter not Christmas. Anyway, we had a wonderful time and got to enjoy some great family time.

On a sad note, about a month ago my parents dog Reggie passed away, he was 16. He was loved by all of us so much and especially by all the grand kids. We had a little memorial service for him and it was quite emotional for all of us. Pets have a special way of touching our hearts, and Reggie will be missed for sure.

Easter baskets!

Grant loved his "lamby"

Better watch out...they did not exacty look where they were driving!

My cousin Kori and her son Nicolas even got in on the fun!!

Rest In Peace Reggie!

Easter egg hunt...that lasted five minutes! It took me forever to stuff all those egg...geesh!

Baseball Starts

Spring baseball has officially started and we are in full swing. This weekend we had our first tournament, and it was so beautiful...what a great way to start the season. Jaxson has been working so hard to improve this year and was anxious to see if all his hard work had paid off.

His hard work definitely paid off and he even had two doubles to show for it! He loves playing catcher and he did an amazing job, I was so proud of him! I was not so much proud that he did well, I would be proud either way, I was so proud of the effort he makes and how hard he works every practice to get better!! He has this never say die attitude that I just so admire.

I just love all the parents and kids on the team this year and really look forward to a fun season. Just praying for me decent weather too, we could use less rain and more sun around here for sure!

Sky High

Last week I took the boys to Sky High, and it was awesome!! If you have not heard of it, it is simply a giant warehouse full of trampolines!! It is really fun for all ages, and we has so much fun in fact, that we are having Jaxson's birthday party there at the end of the month. It's the big 1...0...ya know!
Doing flips into the foam pit!

Jaxson playing dodge ball.

They had so much fun!
