HTC 2010

Oh boy where to begin with Hood to Coast! I believe it was 2005 when my friend's Jenna and Sam asked me to run with them on their family team...Storytime! I was thrilled to be apart of it, but had no idea what I had gotten myself into. With the exception of one year off to have Grant, I have run every year after...one year we did not get in though...so this was my 4th year running, hope that makes sense? Regardless, running in the HTC is always one of my favorite things to do all year and this year was no exception. When you have to live with six other people in a van for 30+ hours, with little to no sleep, you get to know a lot about them...more than you probably want to know too. I like the running part, but love all the comradery of the weekend, and although my legs are sore from running, my stomach hurts even more from all the laughing. I think the pictures do a better job explaining what I mean, and yes there are tons:

So there are two vans with six runners each and a driver. Every year on the Thursday before we meet at the Corrado's house for pasta and van decorating. We all have very special names and nothing is really off limits. I am sad I did not get a pic of the other team's van, but it was pretty funny too!! Jaxson and Grant got to participate in the decorating this year, as you can see towards the bottom. Sam threw a major two year old tantrum when the boys tried to decorate Van 1 so you would not see any of their art on that van anyway.

Van life...a little cramped, but it's better than sitting in a mini-van all weekend.

This is at the first major exchange, and we get a chance to visit for a quick minute with Van 1. As you can see with all the beer, this is much more for fun more than anything else!

The Top Gun van...so funny!! They came out of the car with the volley ball, and we all died laughing! I think they won best theme for the whole event.

Brian thought this was a very inventive way of getting around the ear phone ban...they quickly became known as his chin nuts...geez I know!

Looking so tired after my last 8 miles up hill...so happy to be done!

Favorite picture of the trip. Brian went up to him and said his wife would be so happy if he could get a picture! We were all dying laughing, and as you can see Joey is thrilled!

Perfect way to end the day!!

We had so much and I will be back again next year for sure!!
