This is our lives...: Go Pilots

We had the chance, last Thursday, to watch some men's basketball over at the University of Portland. If you follow this blog, you know that is where Nick and I met, so going there with our kids is always special. This was an alumni event because school had not started back up again, so before the game we got a chance to meet up with friends for snacks and drinks at The Cove. Everyone was encouraged to make signs for the game too....Jaxson and Grant were all over it as you can imagine. There was a contest for the best sign, and Jaxson won, so we get tickets to go to the Gonzaga game....YEAH!! We had a great time and I loved watching my kids have so much fun. Now that Jaxson is playing basketball, we were very excited for him to see a college team play live. I think he learned a lot, plus he got on the big screen, which may have been the most exciting moment of the game for him. We had to leave at half time to get the kids in bed, Thursday night holds a whole different meaning when you have kids, but the Pilots ended up winning by one point in double overtime. I have a feeling we will be frequenting many more basketball games in the years to come!! Go Pilots!!

We actually got Grant to wear a regular shirt to the game. I found a purple and gray shirt at Old Navy, and he was beyond happy to wear it. He was also thrilled to get a Root Beer too, and luckily he got distracted by sign making before he guzzled the whole thing down.

Our friends Tasha and Brian brought their cute little boy Tristan, and he was very interested in what was in those cups, Uncle Dave thought this was very funny! He is such a sweet boy and slept on his dad's tummy the entire game!
