Friday night was the Luau Party that my friend Molly and I had been working on for a couple weeks. Long of the short of it is; it was a dinner to help get support for Jaxson's school auction in February. We used the empty showroom that used to house Beaverton Honda, which was awesome because it was free, while not so awesome because we had to bring in absolutely everything. The evening was a huge success and I was happy to be apart of it!
All set-up, just waiting for our guests!
Yummy Mai Tai...I drank a lot of them.
Me, Ina, and Molly!! My camera is having some serious "ish"...you have to hold down the button so that it can focus and it takes forever, so when I am not taking the picture it always comes out blurry...sorry:-(
Nancy, Nicole and Molly
We had a great time!!
So Saturday day was spent cleaning up after the party, and recovering from a busy week of party planning....but the partying was not over, not by a long shot. Saturday night brought the first meeting of "Cocktail Club!" Some moms at school had been talking about starting a book club or something that would allow us to get together every month. In the spirit of, "keepin' in real", it was decided that we just wanted to get together for fun and cocktails....thus Cocktail Club! Every month a cocktail is highlighted, this month was the Creamsicle Martini. These are some pretty funny pics:
My good friend Molly and I enjoying our drink in our new martini glasses. The funny thing was that with a room full of women we actually watched both games! I know my ugly old lady bra strap is showing, but this was such a cute pic I could not resist posting it!
Cocktail Club
We played this new Wii game...it's like karaoke but with dancing. It was pretty funny, and a good way to burn off those extra calories.
I have to admit this picture is totally posed...we were so tired and lame and about to fall asleep, but our hostess did her best to liven us up :-)
After such a great night I can see the need for many more Cocktail Club meetings....let me know if you are interested we are accepting new members. Qualifications include: like to meet new people, like to try new things, like to gossip, and most importantly like to dance....let me know :-)
On to Sunday...yikes is this weekend over yet! In the morning we headed over to Safari Sam's to celebrate our good friend Myles's 3rd Birthday! I forgot my camera, but I can guarantee that the boys had a great time. After that, we came home to get ready to go see Jack Johnson! We were struggling for a babysitter and thought we would have to cancel, but my amazing sister Andrea left her own kids to come over to my house to watch the boys. We were so tired, but we rallied and were so glad we did. We had an amazing time with our friends and an added bonus that we got to be apart of Tasha and Brian's first night out post baby!
Us girls waiting in the car to....ummm why did we sit in the car so long?
We ran into Kristin at the concert who was getting to enjoy part of her birthday gift from her sister!
Jack
First of many date nights to come!
Nick said he thought he looked pretty gangsta in this pic...ok?
Wow that was such a busy weekend, and we got to do so many things that we don't normally get to do, so I cannot complain one bit. I can say I am glad it's over now, and am happy I get look back at all the fun pics!
